Peas in a Pod, Oil and Water!
Edited on Wed May-18-11 07:30 PM by Pistarkle
Republican Congressional Lawmakers and their corporate “peas in a pod”, ONCE AGAIN, put big money ahead of the economic good of the American people. Republican House Representatives voted to extend OBSCENE oil subsidies for their corporate puppet masters yesterday.

Five major oil companies – which together raised $36 BILLION in profits in the first quarter of 2011 got their REPUBLICAN spokespersons to pass a bill granting them $4 BILLION in tax giveaways this year. These are the same companies that transported their CEO’s to Congressional hearings in private jets; spent more than $145 million last year on nearly 800 lobbyists; helped raise your gas prices, and enjoy the highest profits of ANY corporation in the world!

Republican Lawmakers make a big deal about cutting government spending when it comes to bread and butter issues like Medicare, Medicaid, education, and health care, but they just can’t seem to follow that act when it comes to cutting government spending for their CORPORATE WELFARE campaign contributors.

Glorifying oil subsidies for the wealthiest corporations in the world while crumbling bread and butter issues affecting the middle class, the poor, children and the elderly may be an oily, watery, SLICK move on the part of Republican Lawmakers, BUT it just doesn’t mix!

The only way to stop the madness is to ‘out-lobby’ the lobbyists. Go to…
