The 437th thread about May 21
I'm just wondering if some of the people here are worried. :P

The world is not going to end on Saturday, awright? The world will only end if Michele Bachmann becomes President and nukes every country on Earth because Jesus and Elvis tell her to.

2. DU is going to totally suck on May 21. I bet more than half the threads will be about this nonsense.
I for one will be staying away.

5. 6pm WHERE! Gotta know if I have a few more or less hours -
Unless it's going to happen like a wave, slooooowly picking people up as it circles the globe, I doubt it will be 6PM PDT; probably closer to 4:30pm GMT. Which means if it happens at once, I'm probably going to be at the Hillcrest Farmer's Market with Laz talking to the Wes the oyster farm vendor, Mary the fancy cheese vendor (Laz loves his stinky cheeses and his goat cheeses), Keith (AKA Mr. Bubbles) the British Pub Food vendor and have no idea it's going on for a good hour or so...

7. Be exact, 6 PM LOCAL TIME
so it should pretty much be bust when the massive quake in New Zealand does not happen a few hours before EST.

4. Not to worry, in the context of Christianity the "Rapture" is a 200 year old false doctrine.
Again, in the context of Christianity, those who promote the doctrine of the Rapture for their own benefit and glory are actually anti-Christian because they bring disrepute on the Church which is the Body of Christ, the believers by naming dates when the Bible clearly says that not even Jesus knew the date. The leaders of the Rapture movement are actually false prophets which is not a good thing to be in the context of Christianity.

Now atheists believe that all religions are false and a joke and have no problem holding them up, particularly Christianity, to ridicule in spite of the fact that likely thousands of DUers are practicing Christians to one degree or another. But that's why when referring to the Rapture I continually stated that in the context of Christianity it is a false doctrine.

12. The "them" who correctly say no one knows the time are not the same "them" who name a date.
It's the squeaky wheel that gets all of the attention and publicity, like the guy who wanted to burn the Koran. Christianity, as in any group comprised of millions of people, has many "thems". In fact there is a Christian "them" who belong to DU.

13. I think the OP is extremely important...
The title is The 437th thread about May 21...

If you add the "4" and the "3", you get "7". Coincidence?

And if you take the "2" and subtract the "1", you're left with "1", which clearly means you'll be alone after the Rapture (because "One is the Loneliest Number.....".

14. you hit the starting point, but your ending is wrong:
4+3 is 7, so we have a pair of 7's. May 21 is 5/21 adds up to 8 (5+2+1).

So the 778 area code is where it will be starting at 6:00. It says so in the Bible's appendix.
