I wish the rapture WOULD happen

Except that the people I'd like to see raptured (the sanctimonious, judgmental, gullible religious extremists who would like to see their narrow vision of Christianity imposed on the world and who actually believe in the rapture) aren't the ones who would be likely to be raptured. Being about as un-Christian as they come, they'd be left behind and us unrepentant sinners would still have to put up with them. But man oh man, if those people could just disappear from the world on May 21st I would not be heart broken.

that would mean my spouse would be raptured and I'm not sure I can live on just my salary ... although ... can I collect on a life insurance policy of someone who's been raptured?

There would be a whole lot fewer sanctimonious, holier-than-thou assholes running around.

The rapture-ists are big on being "Abundance Christians," they don't care if they pollute and poison water tables as long as they make money.
The world is going to hell in a hand basket, they figure, so don't even try to restore the environment.

What if Bachmann and Palin are waiting to see if they get Raptured before they make the announcement?

I'm thinking that it may all backfire though. If they are sinful wenches, and don't get raptured then they (especially missy Esther) shouldn't be holy driven leaders...as they both claim to be.

Also, take all the extremists from all the religions.. the Muslims who impose restrictions on women and who believe jihad is killing all non-muslims... take all the people who say they want to go "back".. take all the catholic priests who diddled children.. take all the bachmans and palins... take all the regressives all over the world. Along with them, take all the nuclear weapons and poisons "Man" have created for killing other men in perpetual war and genocide.

Whatever little "heaven" they deserve check them into that and let the rest of us live free and englightened..
