NSA whistleblower Tom Drake talks Espionage Act, 9/11, intelligence with 60 Minutes

Thomas Drake worked for the National Security Agency before he was indicted by it. Drake felt that taxpayer money was being misused on unnecessary intelligence, not the information that would lead to the successful capture of terrorists.

While the government says he betrayed his country, Drake, facing 35 years in prison if convicted, says he only pointed out government mismanagement. Drake was imprisoned under the Espionage Act of 1917.

“The entire national security establishment – it was a failure, a fundamental systemic breakdown,” Drake told “60 Minutes”‘ Scott Pelley in his first televised interview.

I don't know all the facts so I won't judge, but potentially 35 years in prison for taking some classified documents home seems pretty harsh.

Somebody needs to look into Michael Hayden's finances. He oversaw an upgrade project (Trailblazer) using private contractors that cost more than a billion dollars and was then canceled? He wasted a billion taxpayer dollars? What did Hayden personally get out of a deal like that in the form of "retirement security" from those contractors?

4. They are robbing every American vault and disappearing what's there
and the full reason is yet to be revealed. In the meantime, remember that it takes plenty to operate a secret sub-government and manage the anti-people programs to bring us down. That money went to friends in the club - they are all enemy money launderers. They are conducting their own terrorist plot on the people.
