2. Its been rough
the coverage has been spotty at best, and any clear footage is minimal. The local channels are covering it pretty well, KOAM and KODE are probably doing the best coverage. The destruction from the images I've seen has been pretty damn substantial. My wife and I live about 25 miles south, and do a lot of business/running around in Joplin. From what I've seen a lot of Rangeline rd has been hit badly, Rangeline is one of the biggest arteries of business/homes in the city....

5. From the pictures I saw on twitter you can tell that it hit a very vital area.
Many businesses we are all familiar with were hit, IHOP, Home depot, fast foods etc.

This is devastating.

6. Yep, I wonder how far down Rangeline was impacted.
Vintage Stock(hell I was just there the other day) is now a Triage center, so that tells me the Mall area is okay, at least that corner of the Mall, but from what I've seen from Home Depot down looks bad...Payless, Burger King, Walmart, Academy sports, the dollar tree and a list of others look very bad...and thats not even counting residential, there is residential areas behind both sides of Rangeline, behind every WM, or Home Depot is numerous homes/apartment complexes...

4. The news people broadcasting at the time...
almost seemed to be in a state of shock once they realized what they were seeing.
