Footage shows extent of tornado damage to Joplin, Missouri

A whopping 46 tornadoes touched down across the midwestern U.S. on Sunday, according to the National Weather Service. The most devastating hit Joplin, Missouri, leaving at least 89 people confirmed dead � a toll that�s expected to rise.

In the footage below, a storm chaser catches a few brief images of the actual tornado, then tours the wreckage it left behind. The scene is one of absolute devastation.
