Washington state Democrats to Dennis Kucinich: Don’t run here
Source: Raw Story
By David Edwards

Most voters in Washington state say Rep. Dennis Kucinich isn't welcome there if the Republican-controlled House decides to abolish his Ohio district.

A recent survey (PDF) by the Democratic Public Policy Polling firm found that only 12 percent of voters in Washington wanted Kucinich to run, compared with 39 percent who said he should not.

Among Democrats, 35 percent say he should not run, while 22 percent said he should. Thirty-eight percent of Republicans and 46 percent of independents are also opposed.

On the bright side, 33 percent of Democrats have a favorable opinion of the congressman, while only 19 percent had a unfavorable opinion. Overall, 19 percent of voters viewed Kucinich favorably.

2. Are these the same political geniuses who lost to Jamie Herrera?
You'll need a grain of salt roughly the size of Mt. Rainier to take this seriously. I don't know if Kucinich is seriously considering a Washington state run, but if he is, I can't imagine why Washington state Democrats wouldn't want a proven fund-raiser and winner like Kucinich to campaign in their state. Unless, of course . . .

9. It's a poll. Do you have any reason to believe that it's wildly off?
seems like the typical silly "if I don't like what a poll says, it's crap". Dumb.

10. people like to vote for someone who invested something in their
area. Live there ten years Dennis and then try it. I wouldn't want him to come in either and I love him.

the rest is just gibberish.

21. It has to be used to make the feeling of superiority more complete.
OMC used it to cover up his total lack of any real knowledge on any given topic. It's usually a subconcious thing that they/we don't even notice doing to make us look so smart that the other person is worth a mere laugh and nothing more. I often see it as a sign of insecurity in one's position, which it often is.

To be fair, I should add that sometimes something really is just funny. ;)

19. What is it about his political positions that causes you to dislike Rep. Kucinich so much?
Which of his stances on issues do you most vehemently disagree with?

20. Not so much his stances. It's him. He talks a good game, but he's
just ineffective. One only has to look, after eight terms, at his legislative successes to see that. Sorry.

22. It's pretty amazing that he's gotten elected for 8 terms, then, I would
say.

Apparently the voters in his district believe that he is representing them very adequately for some strange reason.

He always seems to win his Congressional elections by extremely large margins.

I wonder why, since he is so ineffective, that the republicans are so desperate to get him out of Congress that they gerrymandered his district to force him out.

An interesting phenomenon.

24. And that's what matters. The "voters" in his district. And like I said,
they seem content that he talks a good game. I don't have to vote for him in OH or WA, so let the voters decide. If red meat speeches are all his supporters need, then Dennis is the man for the job.

if Kucinich runs in my current district, or if I'm part of the new district that is going to be created and he runs there...I'm definitely voting for him.
