Jack Cafferty reflects how accustomed we are to mediocre presidents

Today, jack Cafferty blasted President Obama for being in Europe while the people of Joplin, MO, attempt to recover from the EF5 tornado that struck Sunday. He must be so accustomed to having a president that couldn't do one thing right that he cannot fathom a president that can multi-task.

When a Hurricane hit New Orleans when Lyndon B. Johnson (LBJ) was President, the Democratic Senator from Louisiana told LBJ, that he should go to New Orleans and show his concern about the plight of the people of New Orleans. LBJ did so within 24 hours of Hurricane Betsy hitting New Orleans.

On December 23, 1967, after attending a Funnel is Australia for Prime Mister of Australia, he delayed his return trip via Pakistan and Rome for a quick stop over Vietnam. Unlike his previous trip which had been planned, this was a done on the fly, LBJ attended the Funnel, returned to Air Force One, and told the Pilot to fly to Vietnam instead of directly to Pakistan as originally planned. Obama is totally out of touch while he cavorts and drinks champagne with the British royal family - Why isn't he back in Missouri and/or Oklahoma, personally picking up debris and saving people? He can't possibly know what's going on, or make contact with FEMA officials. The whole US grinds to a halt while the President visits Europe because nobody can do anything without him.
