I love this ad for the British Heart Foundation! I think mostly because I love her body. In America she would have been a size 2 petite with breast implants and a fake tan.

I was in Europe twice last year and noticed that women in commercials can have wrinkles! And they weren't all perfect and thin. So nice to see a variety of ages and body types.

I live in South Korea and get sick and tired of young, scrawny (beyond thin) girls dancing for most of the commercials. Beauty matters far too much here.

She looks pretty old to be pregnant.

to believe she's middle-aged, you have to think that they chose to photoshop nothing on either body EXCEPT the natural dimpling that comes to the thighs, no matter how fit or thin you are -- and she isn't thin, she's healthy -- with middle age

it doesn't make sense, if they'd photoshop the thighs, they'd photoshop the stomach, if it was about "middle" age

if she was middle aged she would have a certain amt of cellulite, dimples, call 'em what you like, but it wouldn't be physically possible for her to be that smooth in the thigh area

NOT a nice message to send, if the message is, that to be a pretty middle aged woman you have to have thighs you can't get even with medical technology, that you can get ONLY in photoshop and not being there in person -- in other words, to be an attractive middle age woman you have to have something that NO middle aged woman can have

I'm beyond middle age and I don not have dimpled legs. I really don't.
She looks to me about 45-50, which would fit with how he looks, too. I do not see pregnancy there, or youth.
But then, what difference does it really make?

she is a pregnant woman in her twenties, probably a pregnant woman who has not yet given birth to her first child, or else she's seriously photoshopped

she is perfectly smooth, at some point, i don't know what people want

if you think she is "old," you are in for a miserable life because you have unreasonable expectations of both yourself and your loved ones
