Reports: Pataki, Giuliani thinking about presidential bids

Former New York governor George Pataki reportedly is rethinking whether to run for president next year, now that fellow Republican Mitch Daniels is skipping the race.

"I'm not a candidate at this point, but down the road, you never say never," Pataki told The Boston Globe.

Pataki is not the only New York Republican who reportedly is giving a White House bid a second thought. Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, who faltered with his 2008 presidential bid, is said to be thinking about running again, according to Rep. Pete King, R-N.Y.

Actually it says something about how week the Republican field is perceived to be that these two dunces would consider hopping back in.

3. 'Gonna need some more reality shows, it seems...
Since the networks are determined to kill themselves off by eliminating any creative, scripted tv, then I guess they'll be ripe for the picking....

4. I don't think we have to worry about those two. The last time
Giuliani tried it his whole phony image from 9/11 was shattered. He failed to protect NYC by ignoring the warnings and constantly claiming that people didn't have to worry even though it had been hit before and from the trials after the 1993 bombing most NYers knew it was likely to happen again. He should have been tried for gross incompetence. Not to mention what he did to the NYDFD members, most of whom blame him directly for the deaths of over 300 or their members.

And then, failure that he was at the most important job he had, the securtiy of NYC, he goes into the security business. He's made a fortune from 9/11 which is why you can't get him to stop saying '9/11' no matter what the topic is.

As for Pataki, he always looks like he's falling asleep.

7. The More The Merrier.
I love it

Having 20 or 25 (R)s in a debate that nobody wants to vote for would be very entertaining.

10. Does Pataki really think he has a shot?
I didn't even think he was popular in Peekskill anymore. (Disclaimer-- I have not lived in NY since 2007).

11. I think he feels, not unreasonably, that....
in a race where Herman Cain is polling in second place nationally, anyone has a possibility of winning.
