We are near Danville Va 12 miles into NC under severe Tstorm and Tornado watch too...

10. We just got the shit smaked out of us here in NE Oklahoma!
The clouds coming in looked like fucking CGI! It's been 5 years, but I forgot how violent the weather was here. YUCK! Sirens sounded about 7:45, so me, the partner, 3 chihuahuas and a cat were jammed in a hallway closet for 10 minutes!

14. From what I was watching of Okla storms, they were HUGE tornados.
I don't suppose y'all have a basement or storm room?
The weather guy in Okla. kept saying " get underground".

16. No basement or storm room.
Though I am thinking of getting a "hidey hole." The last batch that hit OK demolished houses completely, so it scares me a bit not to have a place underground.

26. I spent the better part of 45 minutes in the closet...
with a chihuahua in a carrier, a shiba inu mutt crammed under pillows, and my hungarian vizsla mix under a comforter. I felt like the kids in the movie Signs, if you've ever seen it. My husband was watching the skies, I was listening to our crank radio and texting my mother in NJ.
Scared the hell out of me.

Apparently, the Air Force moved planes out of Tinker yesterday afternoon.

24. Not too often, but yes.
Not too often, but yes. In the north Texas corridor, we'll get about five or six smaller ones and maybe one or two large ones per season. I think the reason we're getting such dramatic weather tonight is that the low pressure zone seems to be HUGE, and centered over pretty much the entire breadth of the Plains states.

Texas springs are pretty hard core sometimes weather wise, but tonight's tornadoes, hail, high winds and torrential rains are violent even for us.

21. Thanks for blessing my heart but I was making a joke, not wishing that people get swept by a tornado
See, that's the logic the airlines might use since the post would lead one to believe they just let people out of the plane with an approaching torando.
