Scott Brown was a harbinger concerning the 2010 elections... Hochul is the same for 2012 |

We didn't admit it at the time, but the Scott Brown win in Massachusetts told us all how the 2010 elections were going to go.
Hochul's win tonight laid the blueprint for what is going to happen in 2012. The Democrats are going to pick up dozens of House seats by running against the Ryan plan.
The question is... will it be enough seats to take the speakership back away from Boehner.

2. I think you're correct about Brown as harbinger. (As well at the denialism .) |
|
Here's hoping you're correct about Hochul and the implications for what's to come.

3. If we can get over our anger and UNITE, then get out the vote, there's a chance. |

But, if we act like little kids throwing a tantrum because we couldn't wait until Obama is reelected--and shielded from further political concerns--then we lose. We need MORE progressives in the halls of government. The wingnuts have us by the balls at the local and state levels. We need to run progressives at the local levels. We can only do it by uniting, dammit!!!

4. I just hope our gullible, WAY-too-nice Dems do NOT cave. Michael Moore was |

SO spot-on, on Lawrence O'Donnell tonight. DO NOT say "everything's on the table!" DO NOT give the bad guys ONE MILLIMETER of a foothold to chip away at us or say - "both sides are the same! Both Sides! Both Sides" so they can water everything down and then make sure that water is super-muddied.
I hope Dems really seriously look at this election and how it was fought. And what our side MUST be campaigning on.

6. No, actually. Brown showed what happens when the opposition LITERALLY GOES ON VACATION. |
|
And doesn't bother to campaign.
Your OP is historical revisionism.

9. Re literally on vacation... |

I've never been able to find a source for that, other than the Brown campaign itself.
Do you have a reliable link? TIA.
