Did you hear about the kid who was sucked out of the car in Joplin?
He was on his way home from his high school graduation. He was wearing a seatbelt. And he was sucked out of the sun roof.

Just heartbreaking.

And his family can't find him. He's in a hospital somewhere but they don't know where.

I can't even imagine what they must be going through.

1. I hadn't heard about him yet.
If he's in a hospital it could be anywhere, even Children's Mercy if he looked young.

West Central Staff - message from Denise..."Would you post on facebook that if people want to help me locate our unaccounted for kids tomorrow, please meet at north at ten. We will walk the neighborhood. Also, they can text those not on facebook if they want to help. They must have on their id badge to get into north."

OMG. I don't even know what to say. Walking the neighborhood to look for kids who were sitting in their classrooms just a few days ago. My heart goes out to these teachers.

4. The FB page is so sad. They keep reporting he's found, then he's not, then he is, then he's not

7. AC just did a phone interview with a family member...
I thought I understood her to say that the family had checked 150 hospitals...that doesn't sound right she meant 150 mile radius?

She also mentioned that there were quite a few Jane and John Does at the various hospitals.

I think I may get my name tattooed somewhere.

8. I just hope he really is alive and in a hospital somewhere...
and not some unfortunate mix-up.... May he recover fully...(and get some very likely needed psych counseling after his horrendous ordeal)

12. Yes... Unfortunately the odds may be increasingly against them..
I continue to hope and, yes, pray, for those lost and the families that must go on.

Edited on Tue May-24-11 11:06 PM by hlthe2b
I think those have since been proven to be mistaken identity or else he was transferred to another facility, but they don't know where... Totally unclear
