Elderly woman, dentist fight over dentures
At one point, 85-year-old tried to climb out window to escape, affidavit says
..Michael Hammonds, 57, faces multiple charges, including false imprisonment, after the Tuesday incident.

The dispute began after Hammonds attempted to adjust Virginia Graham’s lower partial dentures, authorities said. She allegedly screamed in pain because it felt like the fake teeth had cut her gum, the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office charging affidavit said.

The report said a witness told authorities Graham threw the dentures at Hammonds and told him she didn’t want them. She then tried to grab them from him, but he wouldn’t let go, the report said. During a tug-of-war over the dentures, the woman’s finger got caught on a sharp piece of the denture and bled, the report said.

More at the link of course...

No brains...none whatsoever...take it from me, people flip out once in a while....you just say nothing and give them plenty of room and time and they almost always calm down. If not, you certainly let them leave for crying out loud...posted this in my office for the patients to see tomorrow. so's they know that at least they're not patients of this fellow.

1. Bad idea posting it in your office for patients to see
They'll think it's a subtle warning that they better behave themselves or you'll be just as much of a douche (if not worse) as this dentist was. That's exactly how I'd look at it and immediately find myself another dentist.

I review cases informally for attorneys, both plaintiff and defense, in order to discuss the merits or demerits of a potential case. (I no longer testify, although it was somewhat lucrative, it was two tents (sic)) Anyway, the stuff I read is almost beyond belief. Some of it will be in my forthcoming book.

6. LOL, when I told my wife about the receptionist helping.....
the lady off the desk she said "of course" non of the employees would side with the dentist. I laughed. Then she told me about a 35 year old guy that came in today who had never been to the dentist.
