I heard it was something about Joplin, MO but I didn't get the whole story.

2. From what I've read, she criticized Obama for having a drink in Ireland
while the tornados had their way with the midwest.

That's it in a nutshell, I believe.

3. What difference does it make?
The gender biased slur he used was still totally offensive and inappropriate. Part of being an adult is being able to control yourself particularly in a public setting.

I'm so damn sick of people having no more self-control and basic manners than the three year old spoiled little obnoxious brat that lives next door. For some reason childish ill-mannered behavior from adults has become the norm, and our embarrassing tv and radio news pretty much started it and continues to perpetuate it. I expect any time in the near future that it will escalate to full blown screaming temper tantrums complete with hiccups and fouling of undergarments followed by a long nap with a pacifier and a big plush Teddy.

4. Why can't they wonder what set Ed off? You rant about
the bad behavior you are tired of...

Think Ed already apologized profusely.

Ed sometimes goes overboard anyways but he rarely uses the kind of language he did and it seems quite reasonable to wonder what triggered that.

And really you used an age based slur with all the fouled undergarment, nap, pacifier stuffed animal thing being used as a slur
