I was watching the interview Rachel was doing with Harry Reid. Although Reid didn't officially come out and confess they asked, it seems he has alot of interest to see Ms. Warren run for US Senate.

I think she would be a great candidate that would help give Scott Brown the boot!

1. True
But I still would like to see her as official head of the Consumer Protection Agency.

5. According to Reid he said the dems would too but the Repukes would filibuster
At this point Obama would have to make a recess appointment to get her into that position.

The interesting thing that Reid said was that the GOP would filibuster anyone appointed to this position because they do not want a Consumer Protection program.

13. Which sounds like an excellent reason to make a recess appointment, to me.
And while he's at it, why not appoint Gordon Liu, too? He's well-qualified and it's shameful that he can't even get an up-or-down vote.

Oh, oh, the Republicans might retaliate! :scared: Like they're being so bipartisan now.

14. I saw that bit about Gordon Liu and just adored him. But for the GOP - he's too young
Which means Liu could be sitting on the bench 40-50 years.

If Liu was 70 years old they'd probably like the guy.

4. She would have to win the primary first and nobody has the slightest idea

how she is as a candidate and whether she has what it takes to raise the type of money that will be needed for this race.

This said, if she wants to run, great. The more, the merrier,

6. Has a Dem declared he/she is running?
If not, no primary will be needed. However, I'd rather see her as the consumer-advocate-in-chief for the time being.

10. She would be a fox in their fucking henhouse.
I surprised they haven't completely buried her already.

Can't have a truth-teller in any position of authority.

Especially a woman, because women are much more likely
to be whistle-blowers.

Especially Elizabeth Warren, because she just doesn't
give a crap, and because she sees through their self-
serving bull and isn't afraid to call them on it.

The best thing we can do for Warren is to KEEP TALKING
about her, and keep letting her know that we appreciate
her crusade for working Americans and that WE ARE WATCHING.

17. Not ALL the dems...just ENOUGH of them.
See "New Dem" Coalition.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Democrat_Coalition

snip>
The New Democrat Coalition was founded in 1997 by Representatives Cal Dooley (California), Jim Moran (Virginia) and Timothy J. Roemer (Indiana) as a congressional affiliate of the avowedly centrist Democratic Leadership Council, whose members, including former President Bill Clinton, call themselves "New Democrats." As of July 2009, the House New Democrats are chaired by Representative Joseph Crowley (New York), with Vice-Chairs Representatives Melissa Bean (Illinois), Ron Kind (Wisconsin), Allyson Schwartz (Pennsylvania) and Adam Smith ( Washington), who also serves as chair of the group's political action committee.

The Senate New Democrat Coalition was founded in the spring of 2000 by Senators Evan Bayh (Indiana), Bob Graham (Florida), Mary Landrieu (Louisiana), Joe Lieberman (Connecticut), and Blanche Lincoln (Arkansas).<2>

15. Senators ask John Boehner to help block Obama recess appointments
Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC) and 19 conservative senators asked House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) to “block President Obama from making recess appointments for the remainder of his presidency” by requesting that he reject any resolution allowing the Senate to recess for more than three days.
