It's funny how, if you vehemently defend some minority's rights, some people always assume...
...you (or someone in your family) must be part of the minority in question and therefore you are arguing in your own benefit. They never seem to consider the possibility that you're sincerely arguing on behalf on others.

I think they can't wrap their minds around the concept.

If you really want to see their flip-flop reasoning in action, if you're a minority defending minority rights they'll tell you that you're not even a minority.

4. I have noticed that many conservatives only support causes
related to things that have touched their lives or the life of someone close to them. If a rich man supports cancer research, it's because cancer has stricken close to him, for example.
