1. Apparently they have eliminated just about everyone else,
if you read further down in the thread.

That was funny.

3. Reading down the posts... jim rob says a mouthful."Constitutional Conservatism is without equal."
He is more correct than he realizes. Equality is not found in this line of thought. Since our Constitution is built around equality these two terms are not, in this case, compatible. His "Free Republic" concept of our country is not free for all and thus not part of our Constitutional American democracy.

4. these weirdos would think Chuck Norris and Ted Nugent are gay commies.
Edited on Fri May-27-11 01:14 AM by provis99
I think there is literally no politician alive today, or has ever existed, who is right wing enough for them. To them, the entire world is a giant liberal conspiracy, with their own little selves the only ones capable of seeing it.

Heck, they think the other posters on their crappy site are part of the liberal conspiracy, too.

I wonder sometimes if that site is an example of Poe's Law; are their really people in existence who think that way, or is it some kind of dark parody?

5. What a moron. His topic title is a logical contradiction
"NOTICE: FR DOES NOT AND WILL NOT SUPPORT ABORTIONIST, GAY RIGHTS PUSHING BIG GOVERNMENT STATISTS"

Except you do support a big government state...a very big government. Because you're going to need the government interfering most intimately with women and the healthcare system in order for your government enforced childbirth to work. And your going to need a much bigger law enforcement / court system / incarceration system to enforce your stupid ideas. Thanks for helping to kill individual liberty Jim - just don't kid yourself - it's your government imposed morality that will be create a much bigger government presence in our lives.

6. Some total dumbass posted he loved that place since 1998.
It hasn't changed much since then. It's the only site left on the internet that reminds you of the internet in 1998. I wonder how many of these clowns are still using AOL?

11. I still "use" aol
These days, what does that mean exactly? AOL is just another website offering free email. Actually, I've used aol since 1994 and never had any problems. Of course I realize you must be intellectually superior to have a gmail or yahoo or hotmail email address. /sarc

7. if you're familiar with the history of Free Republic, this means another purge is in the offing
it usually happens right after they wrap up the quarterly begathon. Rimjob starts feeling frisky and a bunch of members get whacked. Doesn't matter if you've been there since the beginning, fail to kowtow sufficiently and you're gone. It's a fascinating little dystopia over there.

8. I agree...it's really degenerated into a strange little club.
Mainly, a lot of quislings who apparently are incapable of anything more sophisticated to say then "megaqdittos" or "I'm with you Jim". The ugly hatred on that site is getting worse and intelligent posts are becoming rare. The more purges and dogmatic FR goes, the less influential it'll become. All I see there are a bunch of religious zealots who hate gays and love guns.

"No RINO’s...this includes Rudi, Romney, Snowe, Collins, McCain, Murkowski, Graham, Lugar or any other “moderate” like Christie or Huckabee."

Let's see . . . . hmmmm . . . that would leave palin, bachmann, santorum. Maybe a couple more way down the list.

It's from the comic "B.C." ZOT is the sound the anteater makes when he eats an ant.
