Family (Rapture) Radio Gets $1 Million Bid to Purchase 66 Stations
Edited on Fri May-27-11 06:01 PM by Newsjock
Source: Christian Post

A Bible teaching ministry is offering Family Radio, ministry of Harold Camping, $1 million to purchase its entire network of 66 stations in the U.S. A Bible Answer said it would assume ownership of the Family Radio stations the day after October 21, Camping's new date for Doomsday.

Richard Myers, the administrator of abibleanswer.org, said his group is proposing to take possession of Family Radio stations on Oct. 22 since the radio preacher would not need them after the rapture and End of the World. Camping is president of Family Radio.

"After taking the money of his supporters, let Harold give up all he has to show he believes what he is preaching. He does not or else he would sell," Myers wrote on the website.

... In addition to the purchase offer for Family Radio, Myers said he is calling upon the Family Radio board of directors to remove Camping from its board and discontinue airing his teachings.

2. 1 Million? No No No I would offer a couple hundred bucks
What is Camping going to do with radio stations when he's been raptured?

3. That seems incredibly cheap
That is like $17,000 a station. Must be some real crap stations.

4. I think the point is to offer a ridiculously low price.
The other fundies are calling his bluff--"If you really think the rapture is going to happen, prove it by taking your million now. It will cost you nothing to make that cool mil; you can't lose if you're raptured on schedule."

5. Only $1 Million? Chickenfeed.
Nutball can rake in that much in 30 minutes -- and he will (probably several times) as October 15 draws closer.
