When she finds out she can't invoke 1st Amendment at ACORN trial, Hannah Giles breaks down and tries

To pin it all on her partner in the cut-and-paste videos, James O'Keefe.

"James O'Keefe and Hannah Giles, the "pimp" and "prostitute" of the notorious ACORN scam attempted to invoke the First Amendment as a hedge against a $75,000 lawsuit filed by ACORN employee Juan Carlos Vera under the California Privacy Act.

California federal judge M. James Lorenz has dismissed the argument, stating that since O'Keefe and Giles had established a mutual understanding with Vera that the conversation would remain confidential, rules protecting journalists did not apply.

Additionally, Giles attempted to shift the onus of the blame for the prank entirely to O'Keefe, in that he wore the camera used to record the conversations. Judge Lorenz denied that motion as well, ruling that the Law "is directed to the surreptitious recording of confidential communications and not the manner or method of recording the conversation", meaning Giles bears equal culpability in the suit."

Look at the Giles first line of defense, 1st amendment protection, when that failed it was he made me do it besides he was the one with the hidden camera and recording devices.

Mom let him spend his pay checks as he pleased and never charged him room or board, SS and food stamps paid the family enough to survive with a decent income so mom let him slide.

At 18 he joined the military and then married a military brat, her father was an officer, in 1980 she convinced him to join the GOP and they were rabid Reaganites. I ran into him a few years ago and he was an insufferable bore, never mind for 12 months in 1983 both him, wife and new born son, they were on welfare, they both quit their jobs because neither one had health care so welfare paid for the birth of their son, then after the son was old enough for granny to take care of him they both went back to work. To hear him talk, he worked hard all of his life and had no help getting where he is today, he is an exec of a trucking firm, he earned it all. FFS, he didn't even have chores, once in a great while mom would ask him to get out the riding lawn mower and mow the lawn, mom usually did it with a push mower. Yep a true self made Republican.

I came up with his name when the O'Keefe thing first broke. He works for the Capital Research Center -- which is closely tied in with the Heritage Foundation -- and is the source of most of the dirt or fake dirt on ACORN. I think he's also the originator of the convoluted conspiracy theories tying ACORN back to Saul Alinsky and other left-wing community organizers that Glenn Beck peddles.

So it's no surprise at all to see Giles giving him credit -- but it's nice to have confirmation of a connection that was originally just guesswork.

Who were they pressuring?

Community Rehabilitation Act to help minorities who qualified to buy homes like everyone else. Racists hated the CRA as it made keeping minorities out of their neighborhood illegal.

ACORN pressured banks on behalf of minorities who were being denied the opportunities everyone else had, and backed by the CRA were able to do so. Most of those helped by ACORN to buy their homes back then, paid their mortgages contrary to racists' claims that they would not.

O'Keefe/Breitbart are racists. Throughout all of their 'stunts' you will find a racist theme. In the case of the Pimp/Prostitute eg, why did they think ACORN workers would find nothing wrong with a Pimp/Prostitute looking to traffic in young girls? Because to their way of thinking, African Americans would fall for the scam because 'everyone knows this would nothing be new to them'.

Check out any of their stunts, they are always based on race.

They and their ilk hated ACORN because ACORN made it as difficult as they could for racists to keep decent American citizens who happened to be minorities, from owning a home wherever they chose. For forty years the far right has been out to get ACORN. Sadly, Democrats helped them achieve their goal after the stupid, easily debunked stunt by Giles/O'Keefe.

The problem? My morals get in the way every single time, and telling lies, and framing other people for my own misfortunes just doesn't suit me.

Oh, I do blame Republicans, mind you, for their inane policy decisions and their rabid conservative values, but that's because they have had a direct hand in destroying our country.

I don't mind blaming Democrats, either, however, when they go right along with it.

Republicans are always blaming other for lying. Life has taught me that the quicker a person is to be jealous, accuse others of fraud or lying, the quicker they are to engage in it themselves. I'm waiting for life to prove me wrong, but since I try to avoid lying, being a fraud and cheating, something tells me that the world will have to keep waiting for me to engage in those traits.

$75k is just a benchmark figure required for pleading federal jurisdiction in this type of suit.

What you plead is not a limit. The other side can argue that, but if they are already over motions on jurisdiction, it's understood that we are talking about AT LEAST 75k.

Yeah, her father is conservative radio commentator, blogger and "comedian" (and Breitbart crony) Doug Giles, who I can assure you will be picking up Hannah's legal tab (since this stunt is his kind of stunt and I'd wager he's the unseen hand in this mess anyways.) and has the millions to do so for his babygirl.

It's O'Keefe who is fucked ninety-nine ways to pauperism here.

We might as well make it 100. I, Chan790, pledge the first $5 into a sinking fund to finance a reward for legally-admissible evidence of James O'Keefe committing a felony sufficient to revoke his probation and send him to prison. $5 more for a second fund to rat-trap Andy Breitbart. So, yeah, I'm in $10 to take down the Republican Goon Squad.

(Hannah Giles isn't worth the effort to do the same because she just proved that she's willing to go stoolie to CYA and thus she's just cut her own throat. She might as well go get a real job, she'll never be trusted again for the juicy stuff now that any future conspirators know she tried to throw O'Keefe to the wolves to save her own heinie.)
