I have no particular opinion on this, but the question is interesting.

I am put in mind of the celebs who sued the various tabloids years ago. You don't hear much about that being done anymore. The tabloids remain in business. I don't read them except for the covers at the soopermarket check-out, so I have no idea if they've changed their ways or their tactics.

1. In this case we're talking about an individual - Breitbart - not a magazine...
Weiner can and should put him out of business.

2. I don't know about him personally, but for our side it should be a gain.
We have to take on these bastards.

3. Weiner is smart enough to know that if he has skeleton's in his closet to not hire lawyers
I'm guessing his closet is pretty damn clean.

7. Absolutely. Weiner knows that they cannot "get" him. He wouldn't take a chance otherwise.
He's pretty tough...

4. The American people have a lot to gain by such legal action.
Whether Weiner has more to gain or lose is irrelevant.

6. It's almost impossible for a famous person to sue for libel
Especially the more famous they are......

Weiner would have a chance to get someone sued if he was actually hacked, but it seems more like this was a photoshop fake.
