Palin & Lamestream Media forcing Producers & Reporters into dangerous car chases of bus
Edited on Tue May-31-11 05:49 PM by RamboLiberal
Yet the reemergence of the GOP's larger-than-life 2008 vice presidential candidate - who says she is strongly considering a run for president - is undeniably news. Which is why more than a dozen national news outlets have sent reporters and producers out to try and follow Palin.

Since Palin and her team won't share where the potential candidate is headed, reporters and producers have little choice but to simply stay close to Palin's bus. This has resulted in scenes of the Palin bus tooling down the highway followed by a caravan of 10 or 15 vehicles all trying to make sure they don't lose sight of the Palin bus.

It adds up to a dangerous situation, says CBS News Producer Ryan Corsaro.

"I just hope to God that one of these young producers with a camera whose bosses are making them follow Sarah Palin as a potential Republican candidate don't get in a car crash, because this is dangerous," he said.

Corsaro asked a member of Palin's team if he thought it was dangerous to have reporters forced to chase her from stop to stop. "You're the ones that are trailing us," he replied.

27. Yet she is outwitting the so-called "journalists". It is a mistake simply to call her "dumb" and
make fun of her. I think she is accomplishing her purpose. She's not going to run for prez. But by keeping the media chasing her around, she can draw in money. It is also taking attention away from other Republican candidates who now will not have media resources used checking them out.

2. Nobody is "forcing" those idiots to follow Palin's Moosemobile.
Stupid media can't get enough of that ridiculous woman, who probably isn't even on the bus - last time she pulled a stunt like this she traveled from city to city by private jet, only getting on the bus to make her appearances for her knuckle-dragging admirers.

Um yeah, they do. Quit following her around. Then, we could all enjoy her tantrums about being ignored.

6. CBS claims that she is "undeniably news"
Edited on Tue May-31-11 05:57 PM by gratuitous
If there's an accident - or a fatality, God forbid - the media nitwits will have no one but themselves to blame. Because I can categorically deny that that antics of Sarah Palin are "news" in the generally accepted definition of the term. If you're talking about prurient interest in an exhibitionist then, yes, you could call it news. But as for anything substantive, edifying for the general public? Mrs. Palin is the news equivalent of a fast-food "cheese" burger.

They barely qualify as a news organization anymore.

26. You can bet CBS won't let the public decide if Palin is newsworthy
. . .because they already know that most of America really could give a damn about where this clown shows up on her bus. Why should any media be following a paid Fox news contributor anyway? Just like the Glenn Beck rally, the rest of the media apparently takes its cues from whatever "news" Fox creates for them.

7. "Since Palin and her team won't share where the potential candidate is headed"
Oh for fucks sake what a crock of bullshit.

Palin and her team CAN'T share where the idiot is going next because they're driving around in a fucking bus trying to figure out where the fuck to go and make themselves unwelcome and frankly embarrassing grifting pains in the ass next.

Thank you John McCain you blithering old fool for loosing this curse on us.

8. Thing is, while she wants the publicity she does NOT want any
press around when she makes her stops - they have an unfortunate habit of catching her saying really stupid shit.

she would immediately tell them where she is going next. Palin can't stand to be ignored, she'd quickly drop her little chase game, duh. :silly:

13. The only people that woman is news to are the tiny
fringes of the far right lunatic wing of the Republican Party. Almost all of them can be found at FR. Outside of that, no one cares what she does.

If they want to have an accident on behalf of the 25 or so Freepers who live in a fantasy world where Palin could become president, that is their problem.

Otoh, they could just go cover some real news! :eyes:
