Probe of Arpaio's (Rpiehole) top aides costs taxpayers $102K

PHOENIX (AP) - The internal investigation of three of Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio's top commanders has cost taxpayers $102,000 so far.

The county Board of Supervisors unanimously agreed Wednesday to reimburse Pinal County for the investigation, which was conducted by Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu on behalf of Arpaio.

Deputy Maricopa County Manager Sandi Wilson said that the county might have to pay more if invoices continue to arrive.
