Is there anyone here who thinks that Murdoch Inc. ISN'T doing
the same thing here that they've been caught at in the UK? I think it's their business model.

1. I don't just think it. I'm sure of it.
There is no way Murdoch would confine a sleazy-but-"effective" technique like that to just one of his scummy media outlets.

Do I think the US media will investigate? Sadly, I'm pretty sure they won't. Our best hope is if Hugh Grant decides to prove his phone was tapped by FOX or the WSJ. Unlikely and a pathetic statement on our "press".

3. Well...
the culture of news is a bit different between the continents. Tabloid press is a an oddity here. I'm sure it has been done by the enquirer and ilk, but I doubt that it is regularly done by the most prestigious papers in the country (he said with bare foot inches from open mouth).
