An elephant called Murdoch in the room
Being British I am as pleased as any by the current troubles that the Murdoch empire faces in the UK. What they have done is vile but for years it was highly effective and probably profitable, so why has no one asked the obvious question, "Has Rupert Murdoch's American media copied their UK counterparts?"

The methods used by Mulcaire and others are not particularly sophisticated, very few customers change their PIN for voice mail from the factory setting. What they did was ring the mobile when it was unlikely to be answered, get to the mail box and enter the default PIN. Probably the most difficult part was getting the mobile number but there are many paid for groups who can obtain those - even if they are withheld (ex-directory). Techies may correct me on this but I have heard it is possible to log key strokes on mobiles under certain circumstances.

So do you think Fox and its associates have done the same thing in the USA?

4. They have done worse
They have lied and brainwashed a large portion of our citizens and made it impossible for us to resolve the most important issues of our lives.

5. Democratic politicians would be likely targets.
I would suggest that the Democratic party hire some security techs to go over everything with a fine tooth comb.
