It is the same god damned argument every single time
Edited on Thu Jul-07-11 07:36 PM by boston bean
There is nothing official.... Even with every newspaper reporting it.....

Then when that something happens that every paper has reported, it's who you gonna vote for? Welcome President Bachmann!

It's an extremely convenient argument for those who use it. No responsibility and can claim they are for the things that just got butchered!

In reality it is this type of "convenient" argument that is killing our Party and our supposedly jointly held ideals and principles!

1. This OP is the same damned BS all the time...
When a Senator gives a direct quote to a newspaper, yeah, there's something to it...just keep burying your head in the sand...because THAT's what's killing this party, people who aren't paying the fuck attention!

4. Party? What Party?
The Democratic Party that's mostly Democrats? Or the Democratic party that's mostly Republicans? Sheila Jackson Lee's Party, or Dan Boren's? Ben Nelson's party, or Sherrod Brown's?

The problem with American politics, and the people who follow it, is that while there are somewhere between three and five parties, there are only two labels.

This causes no end of difficulties, and the closer you follow things, the greater they are.

...isn't co-extensive with the Democratic Party, and that isn't co-extensive with the group of people who vote Democratic, and none of those are co-extensive with the parliamentary Democratic Party at the federal level, or with any of its state versions...

Welcome to the wonderful world of coalition politics....
