1. I'm not at all sure the boat people (Mayflower et seq.) can

appreciate the native humor fully, but being able to appreciate it even partially is a great blessing, and a consciousness-expanding experience.

3. Yes. The humor has evolved to fly right over the heads of most

non-natives.

At the pow-wow in Sioux Falls one year, the announcer mentioned how much $$$ Kevin Costner was planning to spend building his gambling casino complex in the Black Hills. (pause) "That's a lot of food stamps."
