"As your congressman on the House floor, I will do anything short of shooting them."
July 13, 2011

Bonus Quote of the Day
"As your congressman on the House floor, I will do anything short of shooting them. Anything that is lawful, it needs to be done because illegal aliens need to quit taking jobs from American citizens."

-- Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL), quoted by the San Antonio Express-News, on illegal immigrants.

1. Well, let's start with
lying under the "do anything" category.

Scapegoats have always been useful, historically.

6. +1. I've always thought this way rather than blame the victim
because when you actually take a moment and see the way these workers are treated, housed, fed, paid, transported, more often than not they are treated like slaves. They are just another group of people who have become the latest victims of capitalism.

7. Fortunately that is what Obama has been doing as opposed to Bush's workplace raids
that went after the workers and left the managers alone.

8. I honestly wish someone would come down here and jump on a few of these contractors
and ask them some questions about their workforce.

4. More from Mo on socialism, abortion, fair tax, foreign aid, Ryan's Medicare proposal, etc.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mo_Brooks

""As your congressman on the house floor, I will do anything short of shooting them. Anything that is lawful, it needs to be done because illegal aliens need to quit taking jobs from American citizens." <21> Though many constituents support a more strict stance on illegal immigration, some were shocked or alarmed at this comment.'

"In April of 2011, Brooks called his fellow members of Congress "socialists", a remark that he later retracted. Though he issues a retraction, Brooks would go on to say that he did not regret his initial remark and that he thought those who objected to his comment, particularly those within the Democratic Party, were "thin-skinned.""

Representative Brooks is against abortion and stem cell research.

Brooks also supports the plan proposed by Paul Ryan to shift Medicare from a publicly-run program to one that is managed by private insurers. He believes that if the country ignores working on budget deficit the damage done to the nation will be catastrophic. Brooks is opposed to increasing taxes and will not support raising the debt ceiling unless cuts of between 300 and 500 billion dollars are made.

Brooks has also stated that he supports the Fair Tax proposal.

Representative Brooks is in favor of reducing the amount of money that goes to foreign aid. He believes that "we cannot continue to be the world police."

17. Wow...the crazy is strong with "our" Mr. Brooks!!
The only thing that Rethugs are REALLY good at shooting, is off their mouths.

He should put himself where his mouth is, and move very close to the US/Mexican border and guard it (unarmed) 24/7/365, I am good with him doing just that...heh!!
