Is it time to thank Hugh Grant for not backing down to Murdoch's Madness?
The first time I read that Hugh Grant was going public with info he had against Murdoch and his 'publications' I loved it!! Why do Englishmen have a bad rap as being wimps? He stood up against all of Murdoch's Money and Power and ability to persuade folks and opinions with that money and power. Just the action of standing up for what's right thrilled me.

Now as I watch this fire blaze on and hope and pray it leaps the Atlantic, I am even more thankful. We need to find some people with guts to make sure that Murdoch's organization and their sleazy and illegal ways are investigated here.

I'm dreaming of a day without Murdoch and especially without Fox.

Thank you Mr. Grant!

Never was into his acting much but wow, sure have a whole new respect and admiration for him now. I may dig up some of his flicks and see him in a whole different light.

I feel so good about this, I think, because we've felt so helpless with taking action here with Fox' power over the truth. It just feels like a shift has happened.

My favorite Hugh Grant character is in American Dreamz. He plays a great weasel in movies, but he's a hero in real life.

He finally acted instead of just reading lines and looking cute (although I still like the cheesy movies too!). This new Hugh action helps me forgive "Did You Hear About the Morgans?"

21. No pun. (Divine actually got the shaft in punville.) Oh, yeah, that Morgan film was dreadful.
I liked About a Boy, too, but I still prefer him as an unctuous villain as in American Dreamz. It's the first time I saw him as a man instead of as a boy.

22. While Grant is one of the good guys, the person who did most of this is Nick Davies of The Guardian
It's Davies who has put out most of the stories over the years, refused to let it drop, stood up to Murdoch, and who got the story that started the fall: that the News of the World deleted Milly Dowler's voicemails.
