The Budget Process is where cuts and taxes are debated. Period.

The Republican/Tea Party economic terrorists are holding the Debt Ceiling hostage unless their demands are met. And Obama and the Dems are letting them.

We have the President and a very few Reps and Dems deciding on what the 'deal' is when they have Zero authority to do it under these circumstances. The 'deal' is nothing but implementing the standard US Budget. And that is the Responsibility of the House, then the Senate, and finally Presidential signature.

This is so wrong and so unconstitutional. It is nothing but economic terrorism and if we all don't stop it, we will lose.

Increasing the Debt Ceiling MUST be a stand alone bill WITHOUT conditions.

Then, start debating the Budget in Congress where it belongs and not in the 'Deal Room'.

1. Agreed 100%. This is nonsense. We needed the Pres. to come out and say that this
is necessary and vital to our economy and explain that the debt ceiling is raising every year and no one says boo. This is terrorism plain and simple.

3. Yes, our SS and Medicare insurance policies must always be paid first - in total.
No cuts, no age changes, no messing with CPI.

All other 'spending' is what is up for debate.

For instance, immediately cut $250 Billion from the War Department.
