"The only way we're going to have jobs is if the rich pay no taxes whatsoever."
Think of how ludicrous a statement that is, and yet that is exactly what the GOP will have us believe. I really am trying to figure out the rationale, and I am perplexed as to how this was ever sold to the public.

1. I'm sorry but you do have the mantra wrong.

"The only way we're going to have jobs is if the rich pay no taxes whatsoever and the middle class pays for all the rich man's toys."

Mantra part B - and none of the jobs created will enable the worker to afford housing, food, self funded retirement, medical care and education for their children. None of these things is stated as a right in the Constitution.

4. People have too long been wrongly denied the Freedom to buy and sell slaves
The right to enter into slavery is a fundamental right, long championed under natural law, under laws and commandments of God Almighty, and under the Constitution which he has vouchsafed to us. Ignore this, Babylon, at your peril.

/sarcasm, for the afflicted.

5. It's sold to the middle class
because the Dems don't respond correctly. They never tell the truth. Which is, the rich are milking everyone dry. They won't be happy, as Bernie Sanders put it, until they have it all. (And by, the way, he's not a Dem)

6. you're right. in many ways, the dems are complicit by not fighting back hard enough...
of course, they stand to benefit fromthe status quo as well. no one seems to realize the extent of the relationship between their government and monied interests.
