News of the World Whistle Blower Found Dead
Edited on Mon Jul-18-11 12:23 PM by titaniumsalute
http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2011/jul/18/news-of-the-world-sean-hoare

Sean Hoare, the former News of the World showbiz reporter who was the first named journalist to allege Andy Coulson was aware of phone hacking by his staff, has been found dead, the Guardian has learned.

Oh Jesus this is getting better and better. (Sorry for the death of the whistle blower though.)

On a side note: was watching the BBC and they showed politicians going after the cops!
The cops who have been hacking the politicians are now being politically suicided.

Mr Hoare blew the whistle on the phone hacking scandal during an investigation by The New York Times last September.

Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2016132/Sean-Hoare-News-World-phone-hacking-whistleblower-dead.html#ixzz1SUmRdJL8

The police were called today because a member of the public was concerned for his welfare and he was found dead with no suspicious circumstances. The cause of his death is described as unexplained simply because it not yet been established officially by the our local pathologist - he lived near me.

Why on earth we've got this and another in LBN both of which need moving to the conspiracy forum completely defeats me.

35. Here are several points to consider before you eliminate the motivation for foul play
Edited on Mon Jul-18-11 01:50 PM by Uncle Joe
It was only last week when, Hoare spilled the beans re: police bribery in this hacking scandal.

Hoare returned to the spotlight last week, after he told the New York Times that reporters at the News of the World were able to use police technology to locate people using their mobile phone signals in exchange for payments to police officers.

and the other points are that Hoare stated that more beans would be spilled possibly by him and definitely by others, now might those others be intimidated by his "untimely" or "timely" death?

He admitted he had had problems with drink and drugs and had been in rehab. "But that's irrelevant," he said. "There's more to come. This is not going to go away."

Hoare named a private investigator who he said had links with the News of the World, adding: "He may want to talk now because I think what you'll find now is a lot of people are going to want to cover their arse."

My hope is that he had more information squirreled away to be released should he suddenly die.

43. One final point re: timing, the Murdochs and Ms. Brooks are set to testify tomorrow, so
it will be infinitely more difficult for Mr. Hoare; being dead, to rebut anything they say.

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/07/19/world/europe/19hacking.html?pagewanted=1&_r=2&hp

Speaking in South Africa, Mr. Cameron said Parliament would stay in session beyond the scheduled start of its summer recess for an emergency session on Wednesday. Mr. Murdoch, his son James and Ms. Brooks are set to testify before a parliamentary inquiry into the scandal on Tuesday.

isn't part of or tied to the alleged corruption.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/ipcc-to-probe-four-senior-officers-2315827.html

The police watchdog has been asked to investigate four former and serving senior Metropolitan Police officers over their handling of the phone-hacking scandal.

This includes an allegation that former assistant commissioner John Yates "inappropriately" secured a Scotland Yard job for the daughter of hacking suspect Neil Wallis, a source said.

(snip)

It is also considering Mr Yates's decision in 2009 that there was no need to re-open the hacking inquiry and allegations that he inappropriately secured a job for a friend's daughter.

It is understood they are ex-assistant commissioner Andy Hayman, who was in ultimate charge of the 2006 inquiry and later become a columnist with News International title The Times, and ex-deputy assistant commissioner Peter Clarke, who oversaw the investigation.

I believe they need to have several layers of oversight to insure this investigation into Mr. Hoare's death is all above board, too many powerful people; politicians, journalists and police have been adversely affected by this scandal and so this investigation from all aspects needs to be beyond reproach.

9. holy crap -- the death is being treated as "not suspicious!"
from the article:

"The death is currently being treated as unexplained, but not thought to be suspicious. Police investigations into this incident are ongoing."

Hoare first made his claims in a New York Times investigation into the phone-hacking allegations at the News of the World.

He told the newspaper that not only did Coulson know of the phone hacking, but that he actively encouraged his staff to intercept the phone calls of celebrities in the pursuit of exclusives.

In a subsequent interview with the BBC he alleged that he was personally asked by his then-editor, Coulson, to tap into phones. In an interview with the PM programme he said Coulson's insistence that he didn't know about the practice was "a lie, it is simply a lie".

At the time a Downing Street spokeswoman said Coulson totally and utterly denied the allegations and said he had "never condoned the use of phone hacking and nor do I have any recollection of incidences where phone hacking took place".

Elliot Carver, the villain from the Bond film "Tomorrow Never Dies." That Carver was based explicitly on Murdoch makes it only the stranger. One would hope Murdoch meets a fate similar to that of Carver.

71. Some people seem unable to handle the idea that the world is not as they imagine it.
When their world view is threatened, they fight back.

This is popularly known as cognitive dissonance.

That would be fantastic.

Really liked that movie apart from the scene with a helicopter hovering at a 45 degree angle.

52. One of these days...
they're eventually going to try to off someone who either defends themselves or has friends who defend them. Then they'll have a really big ugly mess to explain.

"Well, apparently they all joined a suicide cult that worshipped machine guns, and they all killed themselves with AK-47s in the basement of a parking garage. Nothing to see here."

59. Maybe he killed himself.
Didn't want to face the music.

Kinda reminds me when William Casey just 'got' a brain tumor right before he was supposed to testify before Congress about IranContra...head of the CIA, dead in 1987 right before the lid was about to come off about illegal activities by the POTUS (Reagan)...but from what I am reading, Hoare has already spilled the beans...my guess is suicide by drugs.

But very convenient. And the timing is nothing less than incredible.

They really think we're stupid. Or can't do anything about it. Are they untouchable or just over confident?

82. Why is all i ask
The guy already leaked all the shit that lead to Murdoch to get fingered and the rest of his minions, why even kill him? That doesn't make it better, it makes actually 1000000x worse now. But if its being ruled as not suspicious give me a fucking break. Oh yes he happened to be found dead and he was the main whistle blower on the whole thing but na he just happen to die.

COME ON GET REAL HE WAS MURDERED!! Murdoch i hope you really fry for this one dude, hacking into peoples private lives is bad but murdering someone is way over it. I HOPE YOU FRY MURDOCH!!!

83. Maybe he just gave them the tip of the iceberg
and The Rupert found out (had him wiretapped) and knew if the guy lived he would let loose on far more damaging testimony if called later on by Parliament.

Or the dude just choked on a pretzel...hard to believe but if Idiot Son can do it...ya I know, the guy was probably force fed sleeping pills until he 'went to sleep'.

92. Actually, what happened was, he was in his bathroom, with the
window open. A long beaked bird flew in and it's beak severed his carotid. The bird evidently recovered and flew back through the open window, shat on the mailman and retired to it's nest; bloody beak and all. This will be placed in the official police report and reported on fox news over and over. (1 month later, to the day, rupert shoots the bird and is hailed as a hero. The end.
