The Murdochs nailed the core problem with their empire -- Too Big is Bad
Edited on Tue Jul-19-11 02:40 PM by Armstead
In their hearings today, the Murdochs inadvertently answered the basic question -- What is wrong with the New Corps Empire?

News of the World -- which was one of the most prominent newspapers in Britain was "just one percent of our operations." Therefore it was a little fish that they could not take the time to really oversee.

One F'ing Percent!!!!!!!!

Let that seep into your head. One of the largest newspapers in Britain -- which for most mortals would be considered a major big business enterprise -- is just a tiny drop in a much more massive business and journalistic empire.

Think of the scale of that empire that is revealed by that statement.

I don't care if it were Mother Teresa. That is far, far, far too much wealth and power to be concentrated in any person's hands -- or any corporation.

THAT IS THE PROBLEM THAT IS AT THE HEART OF NEWS CORP -- AND OUR ENTIRE MEDIA SYSTEM.
