What am I missing here?
A beck like conservative I know is posting on FB about how Obama won and now we will have tax increases (ala the Debt ceiling negotiations) and on DU I am hearing that progressives lost in it all...

"ONE TRILLION IN HIGHER TAXES with promises to reform taxes to bring $1.5 trillion in tax cuts later; spending cuts to be spread out over ten years, the details of which will be decided later; reforming medicare, medicaid, and social security later.

So, their plan is to tax now, cut later. Haven't we heard this before from the liberal Democrats? The problem is, later never comes (it certainly hasn't for every other time in the last dew decades when they have made these same promises)."

LOL Wut?

It seems no matter which side you are on it is a bust....I think I will go back to watching season one of Mork and Mindy.

1. I myself have been watching Flipper
Other than simply raising the debt ceiling without restriction everyone will lose.

Not that I don't want to see Millionaires and Billionaires taxed more, or corporations pay their fair share or that I want to see benefits for the poor and middle class cut.
It just seems to me when such decisions are made in a hurry there will be hidden loopholes, and unknown consequences.
Yes, something needs to be done about the deficit and debt, but mistakes are usually made when in a hurry.
It took many years of bad decisions to get us in this problem, lets not make it worse by "fixing" it in a hurry.
Also, the Republican have become too concerned too quickly about a debt they created, I DON'T TRUST THEM! If they gave in 100% they have something up their selves.
