Cenk Uygur out at MSNBC - Officially

Per 'Deadline', he will "boldly discuss his departure from MSNBC" during a teleconference tomorrow.

My bet is that he will join Keith Olbermann at Current.

He should have kept "The Young Turks" persona on MSNBC.

He seemed to be trying to hard for prime time.

I am glad he is gone, I knew before his show what he would say. He was just too negative for me and I do not need the negativity. Also, his show became a free for all.

policies and integrity of POTUS Obama?

I have been a Democratic Party member longer than Obama and took more personal risks and hits than POTUS Obama in my professional and education career to support basic moralty that I supposed a base ethic of the Democratic Party.

I truly "Believed" in Candidate Obama" rather than a lesser of evils candidate.

POTUS Obama in action is to the Right of Nixon with less transparency.

I'd prefer they give Melissa Harris Perry a shot at hosting, but I'll take Al. He holds his guests feet to the fire and calls them out when they won't answer questions.

watch her. I do like her a lot. However, sometimes guests don't always make good hosts. 1 hr can be a long time talking for a newbie host.

Actually LO's show has been better than KO's show most nights, but its blasphemy to say that because so many people lack objectivity.

Unfortunately, I don't see them as having the budget for that much talent at this point. Keith apparently signed for $7m and they have a long way to go. I can't even get them here - have to stream (when I remember) or wait for a YouTube.

Sharpton... anything BUT mainstreamish, bombastic, flamboyant, and lacking the "whitebread" pronunciation of so many words..can't read a teleprompter to save his life.

Al comes with decades-old "baggage" that immediately discredits him in many people's eyes, and MSNBC knows that...He's a great guest, but as a host..not so much.

Ed will be next.. He's already been suspended once, and if he keeps up the pressure, and he will be gone too..

Cenk was never really "permanent", but I'm sure he hoped he would be soon..

Cant stand Cenk...now MSNBC has to give Rev Al the time slot!

didn't care for that. I remember that on one of cenk's last shows (maybe it was the last show) he made a point of saying that he actually does like the president...blah blah blah. Talk to the hand cenk. With friends like you....

any loss of a progressive voice is a real loss for our side. We don't have many progressive voices to lose, unless people think having 100 conservative voices to 10 liberal is a good thing.

And i really hope Rev Al gets a time slot, but there is absolutely no guarantee he will.

Al is OK but I have some issues with him and find him untrustworthy.

Yet many of the same folks were TRASHING Reverend Al Sharpton over Tawanna Brawley case and calling him an "Opportunist" and not someone who was credible to listen to.

Fascinating how this all goes down...these days ...here in our universe.

I've only seen a few shows as he's been filling it, but they've been good. I thought Cenk was okay too--he had some great moments, but I didn't think his show was spectacular. I hope he lands somewhere and continues to develop his talent.

I'd rather see David Shuster on current than Cenk. The trouble with Al Sharpton and Cenk Unger is their voices, they grate on me. Al's delivery irritates me too. I know they can't help how they are, they just don't have broadcasting veices.

I hope to see them both at Current. Schuster appears to be on track for his own show. And I hope Cenk gets a chance to do his part to show the right wingers at MSNBC that there's a place for guys like him.

I think it would be great if Cenk goes to Current with Keith and David Shuster.
