The only person with any usable measure of power in the elected side of the Government that I trust to protect my interests is Nancy Pelosi. The crying shame is that she is being ignored or pushed aside during this entire debt ceiling mess, the crying shame is that the last election stripped her of that essential last measure of power, that and the press acting like the House has no Minority Leader.
I don't know what the working relationship between Stenny Hoyer (sp?) and Nancy is like but I hope its is such that he and she can muster enough votes, to protect us from their betters.
