Norway terror suspect "a right-wing Christian fundamentalist."
A 32-year-old Norwegian was detained and charged with terrorism, but police have not officially released his name. Local media have identified the man as Breivik, who has been described as a right-wing Christian fundamentalist.

Anyone surprised?

1. No, even if the religion had been different. RW = regressive, violent, afraid of change.

2. Not a Muslim
Move along. Nothing to see here.

I remember when Janet Napolitano got trashed for her report that put some focus on RW extremist groups. THe RWers were in all out denial that these groups could be any threat.

Seems to me that fundamentalist wackos of any stripe deserve extra scrutiny.

3. IMO Fundamentalists have much more in common with each other
than they do with any religion (suppression of women, patriarchal authority, brood-sow role for females).

5. Religion
is usually the justification for it. Much easier when you have a reactionary God backing up your beliefs.
