What good did our Government ever do for ANYBODY?

1. Kept millions alive by inspecting various foodstuffs.

2. researched and developed modern communications technology including the internet
3. put men into space and onto the moon
4. defeated fascism
5. Civil Rights Act of 1964

The EKG was developed for the space program...
Stopped water pollution and tested water and personal wells so that we used to have clean water...
Made it illegal to use lead in toys, paint and gasoline...
sent Federal money to schools in an effort to even out school funding...
developed the school lunch program so that children and low income children had hot food at school..

Created and maintained national parks.

Regulates railroad, air safety.

Makes sure our meat is safe.

Builds and maintains dams.

FEMA.

Flood control.

Clean air regulation.

OSHA -- workplace safety regulation.

Makes sure most dangerous chemicals are rated for safety.

Funds all kinds of university research that we need.

Helps fund public schools.

Federal courts help keep the peace.

FBI and Justice Department help protect us from criminals and also protect our rights.

Military protects our borders from invasion -- provides a defense. (Wish they would not invade other countries unless invited.)

Helps United Nations keep the peace.
