Obama should lay it all out tonight.
This is a manufactured crisis.
I have offered to do almost everything they wanted and they said no.
Reid has offered a bill with no tax increases and they said no.
We offered just about everything in between and they said no.
Cantor has placed a bet against the nation and for default.
It seems like the only thing everyone publicly agrees on is the cap should be raised. Send me a clean bill.
But the republicans aren't willing to accept anything except default. They're just not willing to say it yet.

Here is what I'm going to do singlehandedly to prevent default...

If he says that then he's really laid it all out. Anything like "we need congress to come together" isn't going to work. He needs to jackhammer the republican party into the ground on this.

1. "I refuse to cut and run from our wars. I refuse to tax the rich."
I'm open to everything else..

2. I mostly agree- I mean, nomatter what, it's time to start getting pointed on that bully pulpit.
It was a long time ago. President Obama has let him self get lead around by the nose by the Republicans and so he would have had to have learned quite a few lessons to get to that place tonight. I'm not sure he's there, yet. I.e., be prepared for another "we need congress to come together" bromide.

Still, I can hope.

3. I think he's going to go big.
I don't think he's going to go primetime and then say something that isn't big news.

4. He should show up with Perot Posters! Make up a poster for every offer
made to the repukes and show the people exactly what the freaks have been doing. He needs visual aids. People will pay better attention. ;)
