If only he could do that. The republicans would be shitting bricks.

Note: This course of action is not meant to be taken seriously.

10. Watch Your Grammar Young Man!
"Serious" is an adjective. You need the adverbial form, "seriously."
"It's not to be taken seriously."

19. That would be like Emperor Palpatine dissolving the Imperial Senate.

Not good.

3. Why not?
He could appoint a financial manager to replace them. Nobody follows the constitution or rules anymore anyway.

23. Exactly.
It's what the Republicans are doing in certain states with their governors.

8. The American People Elected This Congress and the House By A Landslide
And the Tea Party Republicans were pretty clear about what they were going to do. Heck, Laurence O'Donnell even mentioned back in November 2010 that the debt limit fight got that much harder.

So, we got exactly what they promised, a bunch of right wing extremists pursuing their warped view of no government utopia.

17. Not just O'Donnell I predicted this
and I wish I could have a nice, pipping hot, slice of Crow pie.

Anybody who was paying attention knew this was coming.

12. Get Democratic majority in the Senate to pick a fight with the Republican
majority in the House over an adjournment date when it comes to it, and Obama could adjourn Congress "to such Time as he shall think proper" if they can't agree (which they wouldn't, since the fight would be manufactured).

I do not advocate that, but it's possible to do. Article II, Section 2:

"he may, on extraordinary Occasions, convene both Houses, or either of them, and in Case of Disagreement between them, with Respect to the Time of Adjournment, he may adjourn them to such Time as he shall think proper"

21. I would prefer that
Obama:

1. Declare an end to hierarchy.

2. Use the word DoublePlusGood in a speech.

3. Reboot the Matrix.

4. Move the White House to Disney World in honor of Baudrillard.

5. Officially designate all Americans as Sovereigns and welcome them to the new Tribe.

6. Recognize Lilliputians as a nation.

7. Have a meeting with the elders of all of the indigenous tribes of the world.

8. Break out a bong and fire it up with his staff on television with a new slogan: "Illegal? What gives?

7. Start a new, Department of Consciousness to replace Homeland Security.
