So "cutting" social security payments means they are stealing our money to help GE from paying taxes

"Cutting" SS benefits means that they are taking our money, that we paid into the system, exactly like robbing our bank accounts, while GE didn't have to pay a penny in taxes last year.

I'm boggling on this, tell me it's not true. I NEED every penny I get on disability. And it's MINE. I paid into it, they do not have permission at all.

Thieves.

Reid has the votes to defeat the Boehner plan.

In addition, there is no way we are getting the Reid plan, anyway. Obama is now begging for a compromise between the Reid plan and the Republican plan. That will OF COURSE mean cuts to entitlement benefits.

Reid plan will not get through the House.

STALEMATE

Don't think that some of those cuts won't come to EPA, FDA, Dept o Interior - and other government program protecting the commons. Furthermore, it establishes another catfood commission to negotiate further cuts to the big three.

The Reid plan is no gift either and it should not be celebrated unless it's defeated.

And if there is a big deal, entitlement benefits will be cut, make no mistake about it. People touting the Reid plan that supposedly leaves entitlements alone forget to mention that Obama is now begging for a compromise BETWEEN the Reid plan and the Republican plan, which certainly means benefit cuts.

And even if by some miracle they don't get away with our SS and Medicare this time, Obama's eagerness to put SS and Medicare on the table and multiple public statements justifying them as fair game for the ax now ensure that they will be targets again very, very soon.

Both plans, including the Reid Plan, contain a "Super Congress" which will fast-track debt reduction legislation and weaken our ability to defend ourselves from assaults on SS and Medicare in the future.

One Percent is what the GOP represents. 1% of the United States gets a majority representation in Congress.
