Peggy Noonan: "[President Obama] is not a devil, an alien, a socialist. He is a loser"
Edited on Sat Jul-30-11 01:55 AM by CleanGreenFuture
Oh my God! this pisses me off!

I'm sick of this shit! She's putting it all on the President instead of the lunitic teabaggers and rethugs!

I could just scream. But crying comes this much sooner.

ETA: Crap! Forgot the link: http://online.wsj.com/article/declarations.html

Vile. Just vile.

26. I thought this part of what she said was interesting, though.

(Many of us Dems were surprised when she favored Obama over McCain Palin. She defending him many times on the talking head shows because Noonan doesn't like the Bush Wars. She's a hack but sometimes has interesting insights.)

-------

"The secret of Mr. Obama is that he isn't really very good at politics, and he isn't good at politics because he doesn't really get people. The other day a Republican political veteran forwarded me a hiring notice from the Obama 2012 campaign. It read like politics as done by Martians. The "Analytics Department" is looking for "predictive Modeling/Data Mining" specialists to join the campaign's "multi-disciplinary team of statisticians," which will use "predictive modeling" to anticipate the behavior of the electorate. "We will analyze millions of interactions a day, learning from terabytes of historical data, running thousands of experiments, to inform campaign strategy and critical decisions."

This wasn't the passionate, take-no-prisoners Clinton War Room of '92, it was high-tech and bloodless. Is that what politics is now? Or does the Obama re-election effort reflect the candidate and his flaws?

Mr. Obama seemed brilliant at politics when he first emerged in 2004. He understood the nation's longing for unity. We're not divided into red states and blue, he said, we're Big Purple, we can solve our problems together. Four years later he read the lay of the land perfectly—really, perfectly. The nation and the Democratic Party were tired of the Clinton machine. He came from nowhere and dismantled it. It was breathtaking. He went into the 2008 general election with a miraculously unified party and took down another machine, bundling up all the accrued resentment of eight years with one message: "You know the two losing wars and the economic collapse we've been dealing with? I won't do that. I'm not Bush."

The fact is, he's good at dismantling. He's good at critiquing. He's good at not being the last guy, the one you didn't like. But he's not good at building, creating, calling into being. He was good at summoning hope, but he's not good at directing it and turning it into something concrete that answers a broad public desire."

2. Peggy Noonan doesn't have any friends who "love" Obama
She's a sixty year old white woman who wrote speeches for Ronald Reagan and George H W Bush. I don't know her circle of friends represents all of America...

That makes her think she's a winner? I bet its less than five fingers on her hand. She probably needs
a shower or a bath right now...for starters.

I wouldn't waste one BP point on her. She is dead to me like so many other useless tools. Besides it is the WSJ, home of Satan and Foxnews.

12. WE HAVE TO HELP WI NOW and support this President .
We need to support Obama long term. I have been waiting for the debt ceiling crisis to work itself out before I get involved in the DEM politics of 2012. BUT THIS PRESIDENT IS up against not just the GOP which is determined to see him fail. He is actually facing down a parallel govt the TPARTY NATION made up of 85 members of the HOUSE who are determined to change the direction of this country and take it back wards to the beginning of the twentieth century. THe TPARTY NATION followers pledge loyalty to their societal objective to eviscerate govt, install a one PARTY rule, and destroy the Social safety net. The US Constitution has not had such an assault on its legitimacy since the confederacy. The TPARTY PATRIOTS are loyal to extreme ideologies including great fear of multiculturalism. they are well funded by the very corporations that the SCOTUS awarded personhood to and equivocated free speech with money. We are fighting the odds here. The President is trying to lead 300 mn people, he is being undermined by a few hundred thousand freaks and whackos who have the bully pulpit at FOX and unlimited funds through the KOCHROACHES, FREEDOM WORKS and such to spread their poison. ALEC is writing their extreme legislation which is being implemented by republican legislatures that have given their states over to governors with dictatorial powers. by silencing unions and workers, the TPARTY PATRIOTS have suppressed objections to their extreme agendas. ONE PARTY RULE will destroy the AMERICAN DEMOCRACY and you and our children will be under the rule of the TPARTY NATION a ruthless, soulless dictatorial corporate giant which dictates instead of governs. Our Constitution is under assault. Obama is not the fighter I would like to be leading this revolt of the middle class, but he is all we have right now.

21. Sometimes I feel like Obama is his own worst enemy.
If he'd just stand firm against cuts to the big three, which 70-80% favor, he'd win hearts and minds. I'd rather have a president who is committed and loses than one who caves and wins. I want so much to wholeheartedly support him and everything he does, but he makes it impossible.

13. My roomie had the TV on Fox News when I woke up from a nap...
...and he turns to me and says "This isn't a debate over policy, or a disagreement from two perspectives. This is like the whole of planet earth talking about one thing, and then you flip to this channel and it's the Klandathu propaganda version. These are two entirely different worlds, and they're whole galaxies apart."

16. Cheap Shot
Republicans go all out to interfere with Obama. Then they complain that he can't get anything done. When he went on television to complain about it, they called him a whiner.

Peggy Noonan never had much going for her, except that conservatives liked her. Can you make a career out of pandering to the right wing? Yup.

24. Noonan isn't worthy to lick Obama's feet
Obama is the president of the United States....hardly someone an intelligent person could call a loser, but some dumbass republicans have nothing left to say. They are jealous of Obama's intelligence and successes. Noonan is a thousand times more a loser than Obama. I hold her right up there with Coulter, Limbaugh, and Beck. Idiots who get paid for their ignorance by ignorant people.
