CNNI is pushing the idea that Americans think Congress is at fault for this looming disaster because they just don't get along, and that "innocent" voters just want "a decision" made; "any decision" will do.
As a voter, I get tired of being painted by the media as someone who doesn't have a thought-out opinion re: important issues, but rather, would prefer simply to stop congressional in-fighting at all costs because it's assumed I can't handle conflict. What I can't handle is the GOP's use of my TSP as their personal yo-yo.
Meanwhile, when given the opportunity to discuss reasons why the U.S. is in this situation at all, CNNI anchors say, "We could discuss that until the cows come home," or else they blame congressional infighting (at my expense) without looking at, for example, the taxpayer cost of running two useless wars for the past decade, or the insanity of cutting taxes. Heaven forbid George W. Bush's name should be mentioned in this "discussion," let alone be called on the carpet for his disastrous policies.
Some pea-brained Americans put several idiot congressmen in the Capitol, and those voters are in large part at fault for this situation.
Unlike CNNI, I do believe in pointing fingers. The states with voters whose representation consists of at least 25% of Tea Party Caucus members bear mentioning. I call them "The Unlucky (for the world) Club 13" because their Tea Party representatives' choices regarding human welfare, including their own, are as illogical as those of a crack-addict.
Montana - 100% South Carolina - 83% Kansas - 75% Utah - 66% Louisiana - 57% Texas - 34% Nebraska - 33% New Mexico - 33% Tennessee - 33% Missouri - 33% Georgia - 30% Florida - 28% Minnesota - 25%
When speaking of "change," we had better see some for the better in the next congressional elections.
