Every fucking Republican who stands up and says "we can not restrain our spending"
Every god damned one of them that stands up and says "we can not restrain ourselves from spending without a Constitutional Amendment" dam sure needs to be reminded of this weakness of theirs when they are running in their next election. If they are standing in front of the microphones and cameras telling the world that they are so immature that they can not restrain themselves, particularly with the public's money, then who on earth would vote to bring them back?

1. Republicans love to spend money under a republican president ...
for the things they want to spend money on.
Then when a democratic president gets into office they want all spending to stop so that the democrats don't get their projects funded.

The GOP is what is wrong with our country.

3. They're admitting they are incompetent.
You'd think people would notice that.

What they really mean is that they're hellbent on putting a permanent gun to all of our heads. I'm sure that'll result in great policy decisions down the road. :sarcasm: Just like this one, and the recent past.

They really are like suicide bombers, economic-style, coming into office with force bombs strapped to themselves. They each think they are little kings. No other voters' reprentatives count except theirs - that's what's really insulting to me. Our reps have ideals too, and were elected to serve our wishes too. Not to give away whatever the little kings demand.

Hostage-takers should NEVER get their way, or they keep doing it. It's clear by their Constitutional amendment campaign that they intend to keep doing it - only worse.

As Nancy Reagan said, "just say 'no'." This needs to stop now, or even more people will continue to be hurt.

Take away the deal, give them a clean bill, and let them blow it up if that's what they're going to do anyway. Tell them no more hostage demands will be met. Then their wings will be clipped, and that will help.

5. I learned LONG time ago, what when someone says "we" in public, they mean "me".
It is one of the closest things to a universal principle I've found with human beings.

So it's important to remember, ESPECIALLY at that next election, that what they're saying is "we personally cannot be trusted to restrain our spending - ALTHOUGH OTHERS CAN BE SO TRUSTED."
