An ethics complaint has been filed against Rep. Erik Fresen, R-Miami, arguing he voted on legislation that benefits for-profit charter schools — while his sister and brother-in-law work for such a company.
The complaint says Fresen, chairman of a House education subcommittee, should have abstained and should not have pushed amendments that seem to benefit for-profit charters.
