8. On youtube you can find images from
Both World Fairs in San Francisco. The first one, some two or three years after the great Earthquake of 1906, was pretty amazing. I grew up in San Francisco, and there is very little left
from that fair.. and I don't know how they took down some of those buildings, because many of them
were made of stone...it must have been quite an effort to remove them. Not sure why they didn't leave them, but I guess, it was a one time event only.
