1. Brace yourselves, kids
because there's another strong storm in the southern Rockies--wind is screaming and the drains are gurgling--and that usually means trouble downstream.

3. I feel so badly for all of you

who are having to deal with this. What devastation and loss. I certainly hope you get the help you need.

Tornado season starts here today (I guess there is a start and stop date for them now? j/king) and the intensity of the storms you all have suffered are making me a little nervous about it all. I usually look forward to the great storms but if it is anything close to what has happened there I think I would like to skip. An F5 took out my town when I was 12 from one end to the other, 1/2 mile wide. It takes forever to recover from that. Sending calmness and peace because that is what it is going to take just to get through enough days for the shock of it all to wear off.

EDIT: Sorry, I meant to reply to the OP

4. I don't know how good the news is, but this storm seems to be
heading up north of Dixie, so they'll get a break and be able to clean up instead of hunkering down under more of them.

But yes, I hate to see strong storms this time of year because I know what they'll do on the other side of the Rockies.
