In 1986, he was disbarred by the Appellate Division of the New York State Supreme Court for unethical conduct after attempting to defraud a dying client by forcing the client to sign a will amendment leaving him his fortune.[8] He died five weeks later from AIDS-related complications,[9] having vehemently denied that he had HIV.
He had a lifetime of horrific behavior.

I found it fascinating how his former "homophobic besties" dealt with the undeniable fact that, despite all denials, Cohn was gay.
This quote from Roger Stone (as relayed by Jeffrey Tubin in his New Yorker article on Cohn):
Speculation about Cohn's sexuality intensified following his death from AIDS in 1986. In a 2008 article published in The New Yorker, Jeffrey Toobin quotes Cohn associate Roger Stone: "Roy was not gay. He was a man who liked having sex with men. Gays were weak, and effeminate.
