(3,301 posts)It's not really a serious suggestion, anyway. I just think it'd be funny watching them have a total meltdown when they realize their performance isn't reaching an audience.
I'd like to think Columbia would show some spine and simply ask NYPD to go in and solve the problem, but alas, if that request hasn't come yet it's probably not going to. Odds are they're going to negotiate with them, or try to, and then NYPD will go in afterward. Columbia might as well cut to the chase.
But all joking aside, any students blocking access to the building should be suspended for a minimum of one semester. Any students inside the building should be expelled. Any faculty involved in either should have their employment with the university ended on the spot. All of the above should be arrested and charged and have their day in court for any crimes they've committed.
Failure to apply consequences to these spoiled children will only encourage them to act out in more and more extreme ways. They're already bleating about amnesty, and the answer to that should be...
