Congratulations to our presumptive Democratic nominee, Joe Biden!
Democratic Primaries
In reply to the discussion: Who is the strongest presidential ticket? [View all]customerserviceguy
(25,183 posts)91. Why is there always the constant assumption
that the VP pick will be an also-ran? It's only happened a few times in my lifetime (I'm 64), and only one of those times it worked out (Reagan-Bush). It didn't go so well for Kerry-Edwards.
The ticket will need to be balanced both by gender and by race, if we have a white male as the nominee, he'll need to pick Stacy Abrams or someone with similar stature. If by some miracle Elizabeth Warren is the nominee, she will probably pick Castro for the racial/gender balance.
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden

No matter who the nominee is, the nominee can't pick a sitting Democratic senator as a running mate

All the "Sanders" options are anemic and not polling very well. Interesting.
